"Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor"
UNDERGRADUATE AFFAIRS
The Savannah (GA) Alumni Chapter has long served as the advising chapter to the Savannah State University Chapter—the Gamma Chi of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.—preparing our collegiate brothers for leadership through mentorship, professional development, and the tools necessary to excel both inside and outside the classroom. The Gamma Chi Chapter proudly celebrated 75 years of brotherhood, achievement, and service. Chartered on the campus of Savannah State College—now Savannah State University—on Saturday, April 29, 1950, Gamma Chi was chartered by thirteen visionary Men of Achievement whose dedication and purpose established a firm foundation for generations of excellence to come. Across seven and a half decades, Gamma Chi has played a pivotal role in advancing the ideals of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Through an unwavering commitment to achievement, community engagement, and the noble bond of fraternal brotherhood, the chapter has built and sustained a distinguished legacy that continues to uplift and inspire. As Gamma Chi commemorates its 75th Diamond Anniversary, it stands as a testament to endurance, impact, and principled leadership—carrying forward a legacy that will continue to shine brightly for generations to follow.
In addition to supporting Gamma Chi, the Savannah (GA) Alumni Chapter has also served as the advising chapter for the Omicron Beta Chapter—established at the former Armstrong Atlantic State University, now the Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus—which is currently in an active phase of reactivation under the direction and oversight of the Southeastern Province.
