The Southeastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was among the first provinces to be established. In 1921, the 

Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was divided into districts under our thrid Grand Polemarch Bro. George F. David II. Under our fifth Grand Polemarch Bro. Earl B. Dickerson, the designation of “Region” to “Province” and “Regional Director” to “Province Polemarch” happened at the 15th Grand Chapter Meeting in 1925. Out of thi came the establishment of the Eastern, Middle Eastern, Central, Great Lakes, Northwestern, Western, Southern, and Southeastern Provinces. Currently there are 12 provinces in our fraternity. The history of the Southeastern Province Polemarch dates back to 1926 with Bro. Deaver P. Young serving as the first SE Province Polemarch.

Originally, the Southeastern Province consisted of North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida and Alabama. With the forming of the Middle Easterm Province in 1935, the Southeastern Province ceded the chapters in the state of North Carolina. In 1950, the states of Alabama and Florida were designated as teh Gulf Province, now known as the Southern Province. Today, the Southeastern Province consist of Georgia, South Carolina, Johannesburg, South Africa, Lagos, Nigeria and the United Arab Emirates. The 27th Southeastern Province Polemarch is Bro. Brian Mock of the Stockbridge - Jonesboro (GA) Alumni Chapter.
